I realized that it was my hair that was making my head hot

Marshall has had so many haircuts. However, they have been more like hair trims. I like his hair long! We had only two days of heat in the last three weeks of summer and on those two days poor Marshall was sweating like Pedro in Napoleon Dynamite.

"Well, when I came home from school my head started to get really hot. So I drank some cold water, but it didn't do nothing. So I laid in the bathtub for a while, but then I realized that it was my hair that was making my head hot. So I went into my kitchen and I shaved it all off. I don't want anyone to see." -Pedro

I knew he was hot under his cute, baby shag. I took the plunge, and let my friend, Lisa, our family stylist give him a boy short haircut. I seriously had to leave the room for two reasons. Reason one, Marshall sits still when I am not there. Reason two, I couldn't watch his locks fall. I knew if I stayed in the room I would have stopped her at the "trim length" and said, "Yep, that's short enough."

Well, I stayed for a moment to snap some photos and then headed to the other room. When Marshall came running in with his new do, I was really in shock. He looked so very different. He looked huge, and I will admit it, I do not like it short. He went from a two year old (well, almost three), to a ten year old! Lisa did a great job, but man oh man he looks like a little man!!

Ouch!!! My big boy!!! I am still in shock. I have to take double takes when I look at him. He looks so different and he will return to his baby shag come fall. But for now, he is still my little Pedro, minus the wig!!

Enjoy some of Marshall's moves!! He is very active and pretty precise with a basketball. It's probably too soon to tell, but I think this boy definitely has some skills!!
